Windows 7 has annoying beep sound as a notice when user presses the wrong key, use volume control or error dialog pops up. This system beep is on by default in Windows 7, but don’t be mad about this beep because in this tutorial I will provide you how to disable system beep.
First way you can access Windows 7 device manager, at the device manager toolbar click [View], next choose [Show hidden device], next expand [Non-plug and Play Drivers], right click at [beep] and click [properties], go to [driver] bar and scroll down Startup [Type] and choose [Disable] and click [OK]. Restart your system to take the effect of disable system beep or for manual you can [Stop] button at Current status.
Second way you can disable system beep through registry. Press [Start] + [r] on your keyboard and type regedit in the form, next go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelSound], double click on [Beep] and change [Value data] from “yes” to “no” and click OK, next restart your computer to take effect of change.
Third way you can disable system beep through System Sound. Click [Start] and choose [Control Panel] , next choose [Change system sounds], click [Default Beep] at Program Events and scroll down Sounds list and choose [None], next click Apply and OK, next restart your computer to take effect of change.
